This is a massive opportunity for 10th-pass candidates across India to secure a defense sector job.

The recruitment is conducted on a state/UT domicile-based pattern for Tradesmen, while Pioneer vacancies are filled on an All-India basis.

Note: Assam candidates do not need to submit Domicile/Permanent Residence Certificates, but their residential status will be verified by district authorities.
Eligibility Criteria for CRPF Recruitment 2026
1. Educational Qualification (As on 01/01/2026)
For General Tradesmen/Pioneer: Minimum Matriculation (10th class) or equivalent from a recognized board.
For Constable (Driver): Must possess a Heavy Transport Vehicle Driving License and pass the driving test.
For Mechanic Motor Vehicle: Requires a 2-year ITI certificate in the relevant trade and one year of practical experience.
2. Age Limit (As on 01/01/2026)
Constable (Driver): 21 to 27 years (born between 02/01/1999 and 01/01/2005).
Other Trades & Pioneer: 18 to 23 years (born between 02/01/2003 and 01/01/2008).
Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates get a 5-year relaxation, and OBC candidates get a 3-year relaxation.

Selection Process
The rigorous selection process for CRPF Constable involves multiple stages:
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standards Test (PST): Biometric verification and RFID-based physical measurement/racing.
Computer Based Test (CBT): 100 objective questions (100 marks) testing General Intelligence, Knowledge, Math, and English/Hindi. Note: There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for wrong answers.
Trade Test: Practical assessment of trade skills (qualifying nature, must score 20 out of 50 marks).
Document Verification (DV) & Detailed Medical Examination (DME): Final credential checks and medical fitness tests.
